TRIP-5. Gobi and Kharkhorin Tours

 Arrive in Ulaanbaatar. Pick up and transport to your accommodation in Ulaanbaatar.                      Ulaanbaatar / City Tour                                                                                                                     Our guide will meet you at 9:00 am  and starting from  Gandan Monastery, the biggest and important Monastery with over 400 monks.From here we will go to the National History Museum which shows the rich history of Mongolia. Then we will visit main squares where we will find Government House etc. After Lunch  if you want we can do shopping for Mongolian brand pure  cashmere Goyo and Altai. After that  we will enjoy Mongolian traditional Concert at 06:00 pm. Welcome to the Dinner. Stay at Hotel.**

Day 1.  Baga  Gazriin Chuluu / Middle Gobi                                                                                        Today we will start our trip at 09:00 am to  Baga Gazriin Chuluu in Middle Gobi and see the interesting rock formations in Gobi. Overnight in traditional Mongolian ger camp.

Day 2.  Tsagaan Suvarga                                                                                                                      After breakfast drive to Tsagaan Suvarga.On the way visit  the ruins of Sum Khukh Burd Temple. Reach in Tsagaan Suvraga. Overnight at tourist ger camp.

Day 3.  South Gobi/ Yol Valley                                                                                                            Drive to Yol  Valley  National Park Hiking in long  narrow valley for all day. Lunch picnic in the NP. If you are lucky you will see wild animals.  Overnight in ger guesthouses.

Day 4-5 . Khongor Sand Dunes                                                                                                          Drive to  Khongor Sand Dunes known as the Singing Dunes. Experience the  surrounding nature. And hiking on the big Sand Dunes. Overnight in tents or at ger guesthouse.

Day 6.  South Gobi/ Bayagzag                                                                                                             Drive to the famous Flaming Cliffs (Bayanzag), rich  in the saxaul trees of the Gobi. Gobi Dinosaurs Cemetary and the trail of paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews.Visit a  nomadic camel breeding family and experience the hospitality nomads. Overnight at ger guesthouse.

Day 7.  South Gobi /Ongi Monastery                                                                                        Continue trip  to the Ongi  Monastery-ruins and river.Visit a  local restored temples. Explore the surrrounding area , do some hiking. Overnight at ger guesthouse.

Day 8.  Central Mongolia/ Karakorum, Erdene-Zuu Monastery                                                Trip  to Karakorum- the  ancient  city, 13th century  capital of the Great Mongol Empire.  Visit “ Erdenezuu” Monastery which is  the  biggest and the  first Buddhist Monastery in Mongolia.

Day 9. Central Mongolia /Elsen Tasarkhai                                                                                      

 To travel to the ” Elsen Tasarkhai “and   sand dune lays about 90km long. Camel riding and  hiking  on the sand dune.Overnight at ger guesthouse .

Day 10.  Ulaanbaatar / Departure                                                                                                    After breakfast at hotel transfer  the airport or train station for international departure.
